Muriel

Muriel is my first Puppet. She was designed with the interest of providing therapy to young adults or even those in their 30's or 40's, who suffer with low self esteem, anxiety or depression.

 

She was created during the outbreak of the pandemic when I was struggling for ways to maintain the energy, engagement and growth of my Drama students in long distance learning. I managed to coincide a unit on absurdism with the implementation of a puppet to explore techniques underpinning the genre as a practice.

 

I then went on to develop Muriel much more for my own personal artistic reasons by adding arms, legs and further accessories. I also began writing her broadcasts and poems for a new youtube channel
